The Edwardsville Tigers 10u baseball team will be conducting an open tryout for the 2009 season.  It will be held on Sunday September 7th 5:00-6:30 and Monday September 8th 6:00-7:30.  Tryouts will be held at the baseball field behind the Glen Carbon Village Hall on Glen Carbon Rd.   Players will be evaluated on fielding from several positions, hitting, pitching, base running and basic knowledge of the game.  If interested or any questions please email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Congratulations to the Dave Hopkins and the O'Fallon Flyers .. winners of the SWIBL 14U division.  The Flyers defeated the Metro-East Longhorns 7-4 on Sunday, June 15.    The Flyers went 4-1 over the weekend with the only loss coming at the hands of the Collinsville Kahoks.

Teams must play in the RIDDELL USSSA IL STATE CHAMPIONSHIP to be eligible to
play in USSSA World Series' and also in the USSSA/MCYSA SUMMER OPEN NATIONAL
CHAMPIONSHIPS in Crystal Lake. (www.mcysasports.org). Go to
www.usssaillinoisbaseball.com to download the State Tournament registration
form. If you can't play in the state and wish to play in a World Series or
